Two security sources in Lebanon said an Israeli airstrike targeted a Hezbollah commander in Beirut’s southern suburbs, killing six people. Earlier, Israel’s military chief had said the Iran-backed group would not be given any chance.
UN chief’s warning
UN chief Antonio Guterres has expressed concern over the attacks on Lebanon. He has said that such attacks promote instability. The UN chief has expressed concern over countries not following international laws and escaping these laws by attacking.
The UN chief said that the continuous attacks in Lebanon indicate that it is going to become a ‘second Gaza’. At the same time, the UN human rights chief on Tuesday called on anyone with influence in the Middle East to prevent the escalation of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah.

At least 558 people have died in the Israeli army attack in Lebanon. This figure has been given by the Lebanese Health Ministry. 50 children are also included in this attack. Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, Lebanon’s Health Minister Firas Abiad shared the information about the dead. He said, “The health sector needs our support. We hope that the coming times will not be bad.”
Abiad said, “Four health workers were also killed in Israeli attacks when they attacked hospitals and ambulances.”
